New Homes - $148,300 - $191,950

Farsund Custom Homes, a local builder, is developing a proposed workforce housing project in Alfonso, Virginia.  The proposed project is funded by private funds and grant funds.  Before proceeding with our proposal for both the Lancaster Planning Commission and finalizing our grant proposal, we want to gauge community interest in the project. 

The proposed project has 12 single family homes built on 18 acres.  Each lot is 1 acre.  6 acres are reserved for roadways and open space.  The  homes vary in size from 1,543 sq feet ($148,300) to 2,385 sq ft ($191,950).  The models and specifications are illustrated above.

To qualify for this proposed project, you must:

1)       Be employed full time in a defined critical workforce category which includes law enforcement, fire department, education or the medical field.

2)      Work in the community, not own another home in the community and have lived in the community for at least 18 months.

3)      Have a median household income of at least $38,239 per year.
